Based in Portland, Oregon, Glass Rabbit started as friends casually playing music together, becoming an official project in 2023. In 2024, they began playing shows in Portland and Seattle.
With each member stemming from different musical backgrounds, they embraced each other's various influences and created a sound that was unexpected. Glass Rabbit is birthed from dream pop, dark folk, psychedelia, and old school rock and roll, resulting in an embodiment of a modern dreamy haze of post punk. The band considers the release of the demo, Goo Sessions a demonstration of their early stages of writing, and have honed in on their current sound. After the recordings, Glass Rabbit naturally shifted in a different direction stylistically. Their live shows consist of new songs exhibiting the whimsical experimentations that feel like dancing in a nostalgic daydream. The new tracks will be released on streaming platforms this fall. The whole collection will be released next year on a full length, loose concept album.
Apart from Glass Rabbit, each member is experienced in other forms of art and projects that attribute to the band's overall presence; poetry, painting, multimedia, and photography.
Glass Rabbit has been played on local Portland radio stations, Freeform Portland and XRAY FM.
